We Are Inspired By People and Places
Our inspiration for each project is unique to its site, often coming from the land, the community, the climate, or the client. In our architecture we reach for the moment when inspiration and creativity come together in a design.

$10.7 Million Searider Productions’ Facility opens at Wai‘anae High School
Searider Productions remains on the site of the 5,500 square-foot former facility on the western side of the campus; the thriving program had outgrown the two separate industrial, near windowless classroom buildings years ago.

Punahou Chapel
Punahou School’s Thurston Memorial Chapel is a historic building that has been the beloved heart of the campus for generations. The school desired a new pergola and well-lit walkway sheltered by a discrete, improved roof.

WhiteSpace Architects to Design New $7 Million Kanoelani Elementary Cafeteria and Outdoor Pavilion
WhiteSpace Architects has been selected to design a $7 million cafeteria renovation and expansion as well as an adjacent outdoor pavilion at Kanoelani Elementary School in Waipio.

Classic Paniolo Home Brought To 21st Century
Clean lines blend with the natural beauty of the Big Island, where the new Anekona Residence optimizes picture-perfect panoramic views of Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea, and Hualalai. The design utilizes two separate buildings uniquely placed and interconnected on the site to take advantage of an abundance of light and natural ventilation, while protecting living spaces from the strong winds common to the area.

Designing A Home Gathering Spot
With the world in such chaos today, many of us have come to focus on what is most critical in our lives: our loved ones.

Designing a Home Fitness Space
As we navigate a new world where group fitness classes are restricted and many worry about exercising in enclosed gyms with strangers, home fitness has taken on new relevance. Many homeowners would be surprised to learn they actually do have space for a dedicated exercise room on their existing properties.

Designing A Multi-Purpose Space At Home
In recent months, many of us have experienced sharing spaces with our families in ways we had not been before. What was once a living room suddenly morphed overnight into a classroom and a home office – or perhaps a classroom and two home offices!

KCAA Atherton Preschool Project
It will welcome its first students – keiki as young as two years of age – this fall.
KCAA and WhiteSpace Architects have forged a fruitful partnership, with the firm now assisting in a pro bono design charrette for its administrative offices, located at Mother Rice Preschool in Moiliili.
