Kapalua Village Center

The Honolua Village was designed to complement the Honolua Store, a Maui landmark built by plantation carpenters in 1929. Using the compact residential scale favored in that era, the project fits comfortably into the existing fabric of the old Kapalua. The two new buildings were designed to blend into the existing slope, creating several inviting outdoor gathering places. Several local shops and eateries as well as Sansei Restaurant and Sushi Bar now inhabit the space.
